Marcel Miracle

Marcel Miracle

Born in 1957, Moramanga, Madagascar
Lives and works in Lausanne and in South Tunisia

Geologist in Africa then school teacher in Switzland, Marcel Miracle tries to organize his chaos into a cosmos.
For more than 20 years, he made thousands of small drawings with ink and colour and pencil that aim to assert themselves as the words of one novel in which the actors are the passersby. Marcel Miracle is an anthill from which each ant carries away a fragment of an abandoned book. Reconstitution will surly take long.

He sets himself in a triple night:
– Blindness: Kant’s theoretical impossibility of seeing thing in itself, beyond the phenomenon
– Lack of faith
– Material precariousness, that he shares with most humans

But he experiment the metaphysical experience of the thing in itself with the practice of ORIZON : agreement of mental fire points and focal points of space, leading to the discovery of debris left by chance, that is, according to the words of Heraclitus, “the most beautiful world order.” He also practices the principle of non-nuisance extended to the mineral world (“the striking a rock struck twelve,” René Char.) Finally, he enjoys the wilderness of art, time as a temporary convulsion of the material: the vibratory state resulting leads from chaos to cosmos.
