Klémagha Toussaint Dembélé chose Klèmèguè as artist’s name. During his youth at the Catholic School of the Mission Kati (near Bamako) he spent more time drawing his friends than following the lessons to the desperation of his teachers. His drawing teacher, sensing an extraordinary talent, advised him to go to the INA, the National Institute of Arts. After four years in the plastic arts department between 2000 and 2004, he joined the Conservatory of Arts and Multimedia Crafts Balla Fasseke Kouyaté. He exhibited paintings, sculptures and photographs during numerous studio shows and national exhibitions before discovering in 2007 the digital creation during the DRIMN, Second International Encounters of Digital Media, organized by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From then on, he crosses pictorial, sculptural techniques and new technologies. He finished major of his promotion with a video-sculptural installation.
Interested in teaching between 2011 and 2014, he resumed the creation by attending the Badialan Workshop 1 initiated by his companions Amadou Sanogo and Ibrahima Konaté.
